The PERRIN Super Steer system will make STI steering feel like an Evo with only 3 hours of work. The PERRIN Super Steer reduces the amount steering input needed to steer through corners making an STI feel crisp and responsive. The Super Steer bodies are the key what makes them work. The secret is how they change the steering racks leverage on your front hubs. Made from CNC’d 6061 aluminum, these pieces are overbuilt to ensure a lifetime of use. The Super Steer System includes new steering rack tie rod ends. Instead of us using heavy OEM type ends, PERRIN chose lighter and stronger spherical rod ends, and billet aluminum rod end adapters. For lowered STI’s PERRIN’s rod ends double as a ball joint extender allowing you to retain correct steering geometry, even at extreme ride heights. The PERRIN Super steer increases steering articulation and therefore needs new stops to limit wheel travel. Each kit includes two collars which create new stops for the steering rack, eliminating the possibility of tire contact with the body. Each stop is securely locked in place with 4 bolts eliminating any possibility of failure. The hardware included with every Super Steer System is all “over built” and over speced for a lifetime of use. All rod ends come pre adjusted to OEM spec so you can drive safely to your alignment shop.

HKS release three new products this week. For the Evo X HKS released a complete fuel upgrade kit good to 500hp. The kits includes 800cc injector, high flow fuel pump, fuel rail, and fittings. While the kit was not designed for high horsepower drag divas it offers a rounded complete solution for street cars. For the VQ Nissan’s HKS released 545cc injectors and for the 89-94 240sx HKS released their popular sport exhaust.

This week HKS released four new products. The new blow off valve HKS released uses a boost drive controller for operation. This means the BOV can be used on vehicles which have no vacuum signal, such as diesel engines as well as conventional turbo vehicles by wiring into the accelerator pedal position or throttle sensor signal at the ecu. An on/off switch allows the SQV to be switched on or off at any time. A trigger switch can also allow the activation of the SQV on demand.

HKS also released a 2.2L stroker kit for the 4B11 as well as an Evo X SST Oil Cooler Kit. Last but not least HKS released a sport exhaust system for the 03-06 Evo 8/9; the system is bare bones but still utilizes a three inch diameter and with a retail of just $499 it should move well even in a crowded market.

COBB Tuning announces the immediate availability of the 3” FP Turbo Inlet Hose for the Mitsubishi EVO X. The COBB Tuning 3” FP Turbo Inlet Hose is designed for use with Forced Performance 3″ turbos. The bulge design of the COBB Inlet Hose increases the cross-section to 3.5” to maximize air flow delivered directly to your 3″ Forced Performance turbocharger, providing much more efficient power and response. The smooth inner walls of the COBB Turbo Inlet taper gradually at both ends and reduce the air turbulence that occurs in the factory accordion style inlet.

The COBB 3” FP Turbo Inlet Hose is constructed using four plies steel-reinforced silicone, eliminating the issue of hose collapse that other inlet pipes suffer while under suction at peak demand. While the steel reinforcement provides excellent stability, the silicone allows adequate torsional flex, allowing engine movement on the OEM engine mounts under hard acceleration without risk of separation.

Available in COBB Blue or Stealth Black, this system uses all factory fittings and clamps.

The COBB XLE BPV is a compact and lightweight by-pass valve is capable of holding very high boost pressure without leaking and its unique design allows extremely fast venting of boost when actuated. It is designed to operate in multiple venting modes and can be quickly reconfigured using simple hand tools. The XLE BPV supports three operating modes: full recirculation back into the intake tract, hybrid mode venting to the intake track and atmosphere and full atmospheric with all air vented to atmosphere.
